    About this plant:

The “String of Tears” is named for its unique tear-shaped or oval leaves that hang on long, slender, trailing stems. The leaves are green, plump, and slightly translucent, a feature that aids the plant in its native dry, sunny habitats by allowing sunlight to be stored for photosynthesis. The stems can reach lengths of up to 3 feet (approximately 1 meter), making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or high shelves where its cascading vines can be shown off.

This succulent also blooms small, fragrant flowers that are typically a pale yellow or white color. These blossoms, resembling pom-poms or daisies, often appear in the late summer or early fall and give off a sweet, cinnamon-like scent.

Like most succulents, the “String of Tears” requires well-draining soil and a good amount of light. However, it is best to protect it from intense, direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. This plant is drought-tolerant and prefers to be watered thoroughly but infrequently, with the soil allowed to dry out completely between waterings.

With its unique, teardrop-shaped leaves and easy-care nature, the “String of Tears” makes a wonderful addition to any indoor plant collection and can add a touch of charm and whimsy to your home or office space.
